Racial Justice Project Case Analysis

The Racial Justice Project has posted its most recent case analysis, this time reviewing Crawford v. Marion County Election Board. This recent Supreme Court case upheld Indiana's voting identification requirements. First Circuit Finds That "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" Survives Heightened Scrutiny

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit is the latest of the federal courts of appeals to address the constitutionality of the act establishing “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” as the policy governing military service by gay people. In reaching its decision, the majority cited deference to Congress in military affairs. Center Goes on Summer Hiatus

The Justice Action Center congratulates the class of '08, and looks forward to welcoming a new group of center affiliates this fall. In addition, we will also post a new list of events open to the public once the fall semester gets underway. Until then, enjoy the summer!
