The Plumeri Center for Small Business Empowerment
Through The Plumeri Center, students have the opportunity to take part in experiential learning courses that have a meaningful impact in their community.
The Plumeri Center for Small Business Empowerment helps students connect academic learning to practice in order to empower low-income owners of small businesses and innovators with big ideas by providing them necessary legal advice and representation to grow their businesses. Students benefit from a wealth of knowledge shared by experts in corporate community impact and small business formation as well as leaders in local government and nonprofit community-based enterprises as they gain hands-on training in the legal practice areas that support small business.
The Center also seeks to spur broader initiatives that require an innovative and collaborative approach with the government in order to meet the legal and compliance needs of small business.
Students can choose from a range of programs connected to small business empowerment that provide them with an unparalleled lawyering experience.
