Accessibility: Italy and Rome, including the area surrounding AUR, have made significant recent progress in accessibility, but some challenges remain. Italy has national laws supporting accessibility, and Rome has increasingly implemented accommodations, especially in public transportation hubs. However, the city's historic nature—characterized by narrow sidewalks, uneven pavement, cobblestones, and limited elevator access at some metro stations—can present difficulties for individuals with mobility impairments.

The AUR campus itself is accessible for individuals with disabilities, including accessible classrooms, facilities, and common areas; although its location on hilly terrain may require additional considerations. You are highly encouraged to coordinate with NYLS prior to arrival to discuss specific needs, ensure appropriate accommodations, and address any potential challenges.

Relevant State Department Travel Information: We urge all students to carefully review relevant travel advisories and warnings.
