Before going public with an IPO, a company must carry out a rigorous, top-to-bottom review (known as due diligence) of its product lines, finances, physical and non-tangible assets, liabilities, market challenges, pending litigation, and more to meet regulatory disclosure requirements and provide accurate information to potential investors. Matthew Sadofsky ’06 will provide an engaging presentation on how a junior associate helps to carry out due diligence for a company seeking to go public.
Matthew Sadofsky ’06 is Counsel at Ropes & Gray LLP, where his practice focuses primarily on capital markets and finance transactions, securities law compliance, and corporate governance. He is currently serving a secondment at Blackstone which is a client of Ropes & Gray.
