For Students
All New York Law School students are welcome to affiliate with the Innovation Center for Law and Technology. Driven by the belief that law powers innovation, the Center teaches students to be innovators in thought, technology, and problem-solving.
The Center offers a rigorous and exciting curriculum that seeks to answer the following questions: What are the legal challenges posed by new technologies? How can the law be used or reformed to encourage innovation? How can the practice of law be improved with new technologies? How can innovators and individuals be protected from possible encroachments on their rights by technology?
Affiliates of the Center have the opportunity to expand their skills in the field through related courses and clinics, fellowships, and the Center’s many events throughout the year.
The Center offers certificates in Privacy Law, Intellectual Property Law, and Fashion Law to outstanding affiliates who, upon graduation, have completed a rigorous course of specialized study in one of several Center-related fields.
Apply to Join
All NYLS students are welcome to apply to join the Center as affiliates. Affiliates must meet curricular and extracurricular requirements, found in Student Resources on the NYLS Portal. Students may not join or transfer to the Center during their final semester of law school.
