Join the NYLS Black Law Students Association (BLSA) and the Metropolitan Black Bar Association (MBBA) for a conversation on networking and leveraging professional relationships, featuring Hon. Andrew L. Carter Jr., District Judge for the Southern District of New York; Evette C. Ennis ’02, Vice President of Programs at the MBBA; and Phillip C. Hamilton, Managing Partner at Hamilton Clarke, LLP. A light dinner will be served, and attendees will have an opportunity to network with attorneys from the MBBA and law students from other New York-area BLSAs.
SPEAKERS:
Hon. Andrew L. Carter Jr. is a district judge in the Southern District of New York and Chair of the court’s Magistrate Judges Committee. Prior to his appointment as a district judge, Judge Carter served as a magistrate judge in the Eastern District of New York and as a public defender with The Legal Aid Society and the Federal Defenders of New York.
Evette C. Ennis ’02 is the Vice President of Programs at the MBBA. A Special Master, Ennis works in-house at Ennis Law Group, P.C. practicing in various areas, including labor and employment, contracts, real estate, aviation, and transportation.
Phillip C. Hamilton is the Managing Partner of Hamilton Clarke, LLP, and serves on the Board of Directors of the MBBA. He is a seasoned trial attorney and litigator with diverse practice spanning high-stakes civil, commercial, criminal, and regulatory matters throughout the nation’s state and federal courts.
