Investors in Wall Street face bubbles, crashes, and other market risks beyond their control. But when their losses stem from misconduct—such as unauthorized and excessive trading, selling unsuitable investment products, or outright fraud—investors may seek legal recourse. Adam Gana ’05, Managing Partner of Gana Weinstein LLP, will provide an overview of securities arbitration and litigation, offering advice to students interested in this area of law.

Gana’s practice focuses on all aspects of securities arbitration. He has represented over 3,000 investors across state and federal trial and appellate courts, AAA, JAMS, NFA, and FINRA. Gana is the incoming president of the Public Investor Advocates Bar Association. Gana has been named a New York Super Lawyer® and a Rising Star for eight consecutive years and ranked by the National Trial Lawyers among the top 100 attorneys in New York.

The Ronald H. Filler Institute for Financial Services Law is housed within the Center for Business and Financial Law.
