Anna Belle Hoots joined New York Law School in 2023 as the Associate Director of Bar Success. She teaches Introduction to MBE and assists students in developing and honing the skills necessary to succeed in law school, on the bar exam, and in practice.

Director Hoots began her legal career as a special education attorney at Spencer Walsh Law, PLLC., advocating for the rights of students with disabilities. She most recently served as legal counsel for a high-performing charter school network in New York City, where she not only researched and advised on a wide variety of schooling and legal matters, but also managed large-scale special projects to support the network’s growth.

During her time in law school, Director Hoots was a legal writing teaching assistant over several semesters, including for distinguished Judge Denny Chin of the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, and an Articles and Notes Editor for the Fordham Law Review.
