This writing and research course is a self-directed course with supervision by a faculty member and in compliance with the specific rules of the Law Review’s Note Guide.

Independent Study – Law Review Note

All staff editors of the New York Law School Law Review are required to write a note by completing this Independent Study. This Law Review Note version of the Independent Study must meet the requirements for a note determined by the Faculty Publisher (which includes registering for this version of the two-credit Independent Study). E-board members may write a note, but can do so either by completing an Independent Study or by enrolling in a course that requires or permits students to write a paper that meets the requirements for a note, determined by the Faculty Publisher. The full requirements for writing a note are found in the Law Review’s Note Guide.
