Trial Competition Team – Member
The New York Law School Trial Competition Team is a student-run co-curricular organization that focuses on the advocacy skills required in civil and criminal case trials.
Students on the team represent the School in regional and national trial competitions. Membership is by invitation only, and is based on notable performance in the NYLS Intramural Trial or Closing Argument Competition or by recommendation of a Trial Advocacy Professor based on outstanding performance in the Trial Advocacy or Intensive Trial and Advocacy Skills course.
This co-curricular program offers student members the opportunity to develop their trial advocacy skills. The Trial Team's Executive Board and Faculty Advisors oversee the Team's activities. Students may earn academic credit through membership and active involvement in Team competitions and training.
Pre/co-requisite: Students who have completed one semester toward their degree are eligible to compete for membership.
Membership counts toward Advocacy Program requirements.
